‘Circus’ is a hybrid coral bells cultivar bred by Thierry Delabroye of France. It forms a foliage mound of lobed long-petioled leaves to 10-12” tall. Leaves emerge pale green to warm peach with deep burgundy red veins in spring, change to chartreuse with red veins in summer, and finally become pink as the weather cools in fall. Veins begin to fade in hot summer weather. Tiny bell-shaped deep pink to red (magenta) flowers bloom in late spring to early summer in open panicles atop leafless dark red scapes rising to 18-24” tall. U.S. Plant Patent Applied For (PPAF).
